my tools of the trades!
For anyone who was possibly curious haha. I've divvied it up by medium, to the best of my ability haha. I'll update it with proper links later maybe, but in the meantime they're written down!
Pretty soon I'll be making a whole Resources page, including stuff I don't use often but still think could be ueful for others--but that's a fair ways down the road so for now, just take my personal toolkit. :P
Writing!
- Google Docs (and also a regularly-used backup USB for if anything happens to Google Docs lol)
- Playlists and Pinterest Boards aplenty for inspiration, moodboards, and writing music
- Rhymezone for when I'm stumped, rhyme-wise
- A notebook on hand whenever possible
- The Notes app plus a personal Discord server for braindumps whenever a notebook isn't possible!
Music + Audio!
- FL Studio is my DAW of choice!
- SM58 mic for recording
- Focusrite Scarlett Audio Interface
- Literally any headphones I can get my hands on, from fancy noise-cancelling models to, when desperate, crummy earbuds I keep in my bag
- Suzuki QChord and Omnichord for the weird synthy sounds in so much of my stuff
- A very long list of freeware that I'll eventually compile, I swear.
- M-Audio Keystation MIDI Keyboard
- Spotify and Rateyourmusic for discovering new music for inspiration :]
- UltimateGuitar for practicing covers
Visuals/Design/Webmastery!
- Neocities for this website
- WordPress for my portfolio site
- Affinity Designer
- Canva for when I'm too lazy to use Affinity Designer
- FireAlpaca
- Meta SparkAR for cool augmented reality stuff
- Capcut and Shotcut for different phases of video editing (don't ask why, idk why that's my process either)
